dc.descriptionThe procedure included a literature review to help identify the actual status of public libraries in Puerto Rico. In order to trigger interest and actions for a radical change, a survey questionnaire was administered online, to a sample of the population, using Google Forms, to elicit the perceptions and opinions of citizens on the importance of public libraries in their municipalities. The survey included a total of thirteen (13) questions and opportunity to respond to it was given for a month. In addition to the survey administered and in order to achieve the objectives and purpose of this project, a dialogue was coordinated to invite library professionals and the general public to present the current situation and discuss ideas and possible outcomes.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis project and campaign in process, the main purpose is to first: trigger connections, collaboration, innovation and community action to stimulate radical change in Puerto Rico and second: it seeks to inform and create public awareness of the current situation of public libraries in Puerto Rico.en_US
